In this current climate of our society, more and more people are joining the fight for liberty. They protest in the streets, upload their resistance of the police state on YouTube, petition Congress to remove unjust laws. We, as a society, are blaming the U.S Government for their complete disregard for the Constitution and the foundations of our society therein. Since the signing of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, through the Patriot Act and currently the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP, our government has allowed the collapse of our economy and infringement of our rights with just a few signatures and their banker owned and operated police force.
But let’s be honest. Who can honestly shoulder the blame? Whose fault is it? It’s us. The American people. We are to blame. “How can it be? We don’t control the government! They do what they want with or without our consent!” I expect to hear those reactions. But let us digress. There are many of us, formerly myself as well, that eagerly listen to the propaganda of Fox News, CNN, NBC, and other various media corporations. Their spin on the world, the government, the wars and the resistance, is believed as being legitimate without any question. We, as a people, will easily bemoan any independent media or freelance reporters who not only report but prove that what we are being told is false. We’re too busy watching trash reality shows, injecting our kids with crippling immunizations and eating fast food everyday to make an actual attempt to investigate the media propaganda for ourselves. I will admit, I was one of them. I was in high school when the Twin Towers fell and for years after I bought the war propaganda. “We fight them over there so we won’t have to fight them over hear” was in my head and I truly believed it. Until I actually fought “them” over there I asked myself “ Who was I fighting?” “Insurgents?” “ Terrorists?”
As these questions raged on, I investigated. I looked into the issues. And I saw something I was afraid of. I was wrong. I was one of the “sheeple”. I had to break free. I eventually won my freedom.
I am not alone in my personal struggle to break free from the chains of propaganda. Across the country, thousands, even millions are freeing themselves from the false words of the corporate media. We gather together to take our nation back. But let’s ask ourselves one question”
Why couldn’t we do this before?
The answer is simple. We didn’t want to. It’s easy to allow the government to run our lives and tell us how to live them. The fact is we didn’t want to be the masters of our own lives since it is much simpler to be told what to do than tell yourself what to do. The idea is initially attractive and agreeable. “Ignorance is bliss” so the quote says. Let me ask you, the American people, is it worth it? TSA agents are free to grope you and your family at the airport. The Federal Reserve is purposely driving the dollar down and sabotaging the economy. Our “Representatives” listen to their masters who fund them and sign bills that completely undermine the Constitution. Was it all worth it?
I know there are some that will never wake up. The dream they live in is too easy and for that they refuse to let their lives be run by themselves. Are you one of these “dreamers”? Or do you see what’s happening and can see the future that brings? Look in the mirror and ask yourself those questions.
Now I have no doubt, the war for Freedom and Liberty will be won by us. Not with guns and missiles but with love and peaceful revolution. However, will history repeat itself? Will our future generations endure the same exact struggles because of their blissful ignorance? No one can honestly know but, we have the chance to make amends. To repay our nation with our mistake in allowing these atrocities against us by our government we must pledge to ourselves and each other that never again will be listen to propaganda. That we will take the time to find out the truth for ourselves and not believe some person we never met on the television.
Soon, we will start over. We will be a proud United States of America once more.
When that happens, it is our responsibility to never let history repeat itself. Those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
Let’s learn from this era of American history and teach our future generation the consequences of our inaction.
